In a business overrun by large retail stores and pharmacy chains, Corner Drugs is as unique as it is special.  Stepping through it's doors is like stepping back in time - to an era where you as a customer mattered, and an ice-cream cone only cost you 50 cents!  

Corner Drugs was first opened in 1993, by long-time Hall County resident, Cleve Brown.  Having been a Hall County resident for over 54 years, Cleve has seen many, many changes take place over the years.  He can still remember Gainesville as the small town where the only shopping available was on the Square...

Corner Drugs is a full service pharmacy and gift shop located at 1294 Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville.  Although it opened in 1993, Cleve's journey to owning his own pharmacy began long before that, when in 1969 he started working as a delivery boy for a local pharmacy. From this humble beginning, Cleve worked his way up through the ranks of the business and then through pharmacy school, finally opening his business in 1993.  Known for it's outstanding customer service, Corner Drugs outgrew its portion of the premises within 6 years of opening, and was forced to expand into the premises next door.

One of the reasons for the continued growth of the business is probably due Brown's business mantra of "We want you to be our customer!" Remaining focused on this goal, Cleve Brown and his staff know that great customer service is key to the continued success and growth of Corner Drugs. This is what differentiates Corner Drugs from similar businesses in the area - to Corner Drugs, the customer is everything! Not only do they offer a full range of pharmacy-related services, but they also promise fast and efficient delivery of those services.  Corner Drugs also carries a large range of unique gift items and includes a very convenient gift-wrapping service. 

Corner Drugs accepts all forms of insurance, including Medicare part D. 

They are open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 7pm, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm.  They are closed Sundays to allow their staff to spend this day of rest with their families and attend church.

Cleve Brown's service to the Hall County community doesn't end at running this very successful business.  He is passionate about Boy Scouts, and is involved with the Boy Scout Troop 242.  Brown is also a member of the Georgia Mountain Players Inc, a group we hope to feature in the very near future.
